The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment - TODAY
The Blackhorse Regiment is currently stationed at Ft. Irwin, California and its mission is to serve as OPFOR in the training of Army units. This site's highlights include; current events, unit mission, history and photos.
"Together Then, Together Again." This organization was founded to bring together, through annual reunions, veterans of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment who served in Vietnam or Cambodia. Bob Hersey is a charter member of this great organization.
Founded in 1969 and incorporated in 1970, the Blackhorse Association is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving our country and our fellow troopers and their families. We remain committed to our founding principles to honor deceased comrades, preserve and strengthen comradeship, promote the regiments achievements, support active duty troopers serving in the regiment and provide scholarships for children of the Regiment.
