I don't remember his name or which platoon he led.

This 2nd Lieutenant was   K Troop's 1st.  Platoon Leader.  K Troop CO, John Longhouser has positively  identified him as Lt. Baird.  He may be James C. Baird of Ohio.

Earlier, Mike O'Farrell of K Troop had tentatively identified him as Willie L. (Bill) Manning. Mike is seeking the whereabouts of Lt. Manning.   Write to Mike at Km6927@cs.com.
