Spec. 4 Clair (Skip) Poorman, Jr. served in K Troop, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as a
crewman on K-16 ACAV. K-16 was the only ACAV to run on it's own power after the
ambush of May 21, 1967. Skip lives in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. He has contributed
the following.

Skip Poorman writes about the photo - K-16: "someone gave me the
picture while I was in the hospital (at base camp) . Our track (as far as I know, was the
only vehicle able to run on it's own power after the ambush.."

Skip Poorman Today
In June of 2001 Skip submitted two photos taken in the audio/visual room of the school
where he works. On the door, Skip has a tribute to the 16 members of K Troop who
died in the ambush of May 21, 1967.
