Alonzo & I your (Funeral Honor Guard) I just received the sad call from
his wife "Ann" that he passed-away today ( Sunday December 14th ) We
are and will be best of friends forever ! If you believe in "miracles
from Above" please read on-> We met for first time at basic training
on the rifle range at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri in January 1967.
We both found out that we were drafted from Michigan and we were engage to be
married and were surprised that our wedding dates were on the same day,month
and year-> April 29th 1967,and both of our fiances have blue eyes and

Mr. Alonzo Lasy Wilson
1SG Ret., US Army
EVANS, Ga. - Went to be with his Lord, Sunday, December 14, 2008, at his
residence, 1SG (Ret) Alonzo Lacy Wilson, 61, husband of Royce Ann Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Pontiac, MI and had resided the past 7 years in
Evans. He was a graduate of Waterford High School class of 1966 and attended
Bible College in Arlington, TX. Mr. Wilson was a US Army Veteran of the
Vietnam War and retired after 20 years. He was a recipient of the Valor of
Victor award, a Bronze Star for Valor; decorated over 30 times; received the
Meritorious Service medal, expert marksman and expert driver. Mr. Wilson was a
soul winner who loved his country very, very much and loved God more. He was a
youth minister at Faith Baptist Church in Waterford, MI and is a member of
Grace Baptist Church of Evans, GA. He stated �God first, family
second, I am third.�
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter and son-in-law: Kristi
Ann Wilson-Ballard and James of Tampa, FL; son: Kyle Lacy Wilson of Mesa, AZ;
stepdaughter: Tina Michelle Catalano of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Austin
James Barckholtz, Tressa Lynn McDonalds, Emily Jean Cederburge; brothers and
sister-in-law: Steven and Cathy Wilson, David Wilson and sister: Brenda Joyce
Wilson-Courter. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents: William Allen
Wilson and Nora Aileen Hammitt Wilson and a brother: William Allen Wilson. Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Grace
Baptist Church, Hardy-McManus Rd., Evans, with Rev. Bill Hilly and Rev. James
H. Ritchey officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Johnson, Paul Dineen,
Dan Storia, Coy Bulluck, Bob Wilson, Rev. James Ritchey and Kyle Howell.
Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens 4501 Wrightsboro Road
Grovetown, GA 30813 with-> " full Military Honors."
BLACKHORSE, following the cemetery services the Family would like you to join
them back at the Church for a nice meal.

31st.1970 Served as a Staff Sargeant.

(Communicates Section) September 1st.1971 to April 30th.1972 Served as a
Sargeant and years later as a 1SG (20 years).
*Walker Mellitt of Augusr, Georgia 706-798-2491 A Troop 1st. Squadron December
1st. to December 31st.
*Larry Quincel of Augusta, Georgia 706-798-1151 HHT 3rd. Squardron December
1st.1968 to December 31st.1969 Served as Splecialist/5th. Class and years
later retired as a Sargeant First Class in 1984.
*Charles C. Diamond of Groveton, Georgia D Company and A Troop Served as a
Staff Sargeant and years later retired as a Sargent First Class in January
1978.
