MAZZOTTA, GREGORY C., 63 - of Wildwood Crest, passed away on Sunday, September
21, 2008. Born in West Philadelphia to the late Gregorio and Josephine (Murgidi)
Mazzotta, he lived here for 12 years after moving from Delaware County, PA. He
served in the Vietnam War with the Blackhorse 11th Cav.K Troop where he was
the recipient of many medals including the Purple Heart. He also was a member
and served as the Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post 3509, Sgt/Arms American
Legion Post 184, President Wildwood Crest Vietnam Veterans Chapter 955,
Coordinator Legion Riders, was also a member of the Cape May County Elks, the
Sons of Italy and he enjoyed fishing. Mr. Mazzotta is survived by his
children; Kristie Hamilton and her husband, Neil of Morton, PA, Joseph
Mazzotta and his wife, Colleen of Clifton Heights, PA, and Gregory Mazzotta,
Jr. and his wife, Dana of Sea Isle City; his wife, Kathleen and his four
grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vietnam
Veterans Chapter 955, c/o American Legion Post 184, Wildwood Crest, NJ. 08260.
