We called him "doc"   He rode on track 34 many times because he said we needed him the most.  Pete thought of the 3rd platoon as his boys.  Whenever he was needed, he would be gone in a flash to aid one of his boys. Several times I went with him.  He was my friend. 34 years later I still miss him.
