Hi Guys; Welcome home! I'm looking for a PIO named Joe Boscarine. He was also a combatphotographer. Joe and I had AIT together at Ft Ben Harrison, In. I was with the 25th Inf Div in the Dau Tieng area 1968-1969 I saw Joe once in Dau Tieng. I'm just wondering how he made out with life. If you know how to get in touch with him please let me know. Thanks, Larry Hamilton. |

Hello Bob,
I'm a recently mobilized reservist from South Carolina. I teach Combat Life Saver training to Basic Training Soldiers here at Ft. Knox KY.
I thought you would be interested in knowing that the training facility we teach in is Palma Hall. Day 1 of training includes a brief introduction which includes a short biography and history of CPT. Palma.
CPT. Palma's ultimate sacrifices do not go unnoticed here.

Hello Mr Hersey,
Many years ago (1990/91) I found a "Zippo" type lighter in the ocean while I was snorkelling/skin-diving in Botany Bay (Congwong Bay to be exact)which is just south of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The lighter was in about 15 feet of water when I noticed a slight glint of silver below and went to investigate and I discovered the lighter. It is and has been very degraded by the action of the salt water and sand and as a consequence has been reduced to its original brass metal. On the bottom of the lighter it says "NEW ORIENTAL".On it's main face it says "BLACK HORSE" with a raised shield with the horse on a red and black oblique background identical to your insignia. On the other side it says 11th CAV.,69-70, XUAN LOC, VIET NAM on the reverse. It has a missing shield that may be of a tank/helicopter?. I would like to re-unite this lighter to its rightful owner if possible, but this may be difficult. Therefore I would, at least like to send it to its rightful place, ie: yourself for posterity and safe keeping, because the owner may have a great sentimental attachment to this item and hopefully the owner may access this web-site and you may be able to forward this item to him? Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information or photos of the item.
Cheers,
Keiran Bailey. |
