Great site. I worked with one of the Soldiers that was killed in the ambush of May
21, 1967. His name was Larry Williamson, he was from Racine WI.. We worked at
the Dumore Company. He went into the Army and the last time I saw him he was home on leave
and had orders for Vietnam. I got drafted and was a medic assigned to an
artillery unit in Nuremberg, Germany. Upon returning home in Oct., 1968 I found that
Larry did not make it back. I never knew, until now, how he was killed.
I thank you for giving me an insight into his life and death in Vietnam.
Although I did not know him well, I think of him often and always feel guilty because I
did not serve there. I feel he deserves to be remembered and honored for his
sacrifice.
